Me: In the Thrill of First Love, we get to see how Marvin and Whizzer's dynamic and relationship is really like and not what Marvin tells how it is and how Trina sees it to be in A Tight-Knit Family/Love is Blind. So during the song, we realize the two fight and disagree on everything and it seems a little playful until Marvin pushes Whizzer back and very forcefully compared to when Whizzer just pushed Marvin's shoulder, which was in a more playful manner. When Marvin shoved Whizzer, it seemed more aggressive and malicious. Actually, throughout the song, whenever Marvin touched Whizzer, it almost seemed possessive and aggressive rather than playful. Like when he grabbed Whizzer's wrist and pulled, it literally makes Whizzer stumble and the force behind the pull would warrant a strong grip resulting with bruises. We see this behavior again in This Had Better To A Stop when Marvin says "Don't feel responsible, after all it's through," and Whizzer defends himself. Marvin responds by grabbing Whizzer by the collar and when Whizzer tries to talk again, Marvin just pushes him back and ends the conversation abruptly. It shows that Marvin was never afraid of putting his hands on Whizzer or throwing him around even though Whizzer is significantly taller than him and is the type of person to fight back. Despite this Whizzer never actually did physically fight back (while he did fight with Marvin, it was never physical), and seemed to just take it. Which raises the question; did Marvin ever go as far as to hit Whizzer as he did Trina? Was this another way to show how similar Whizzer and Trina are? Was there a point where Whizzer did try to fight back or call Marvin out but Marvin did something that basically just made Whizzer complacent? Has Whizzer dealt with this type of treatment before and he's just so used to it by now that it doesn't faze him? Wh-
