I kind of wanted this to represent their mentalities: Stephen to me in the mcu rn feels very stuck, only able to pay attention to the present and not the past and barely the future because so much bad stuff has been happening so quickly. Heβs stuck in a rainstorm, so preoccupied by the storm around him that he canβt even think about the storms of his past or if the future could even be sunny.
Tony always had hope for a future that was his to save.
And peter always looks for the path that will help as many people as he can. The present is never bad, just full of opportunities.

Matthew’s use of his gestures and body movements to add emphasis to his words is on point. No way is this stuff in the screenplay - it’s pure Goodey and it brings his characters alive.
